You have probably seen Adam Lippes most recent work with Target with the Mad About Plaid campaign. Its fun sophisticated line with great fits and flattering pieces that are all, of course, plaid. But Adam Lippes also has his self named line. And that is what he talked about at Kendall.
KCAD hosted this event and with AIGA and A.K. Rikks planing all the details. I worked with the team planning and organizing and the event. Plus I got to make floral arrangements which I can never say no to.
Adam brought multiple pieces from his higher end line and talked about his journey to get where he is today. He started in the financial field, but decided to quit a very stable and lucrative career to follow what his passion was. He has been extremely successful, but not with out a few failures on the way. It was great to hear his honesty in the mistakes he made and advice he didn't take when he first started. But also how he has stayed true to who he wants to be, which is a brand that is for all women to be able to wear his clothes comfortably and to make classic clothing with beautiful quality materials that can live in a women's closet forever.
